Four friends, one weekend, and an incredible Coastal Gem adventure at Te Whanganui-A-Hei (Cathedral Cove) Marine Reserve on the Coromandel Peninsula…
These lucky marine reserve fun-havers were winners in the recent DOC / Air New Zealand Dive Into Adventure competition.
They showed true adventurous spirit—completing a list of “must do” activities as well as learning about our marine reserves on the way.
Te Whanganui-A-Hei was one of five marine reserve experiences up for grabs in the competition. We’ll profile some of the others (Poor Knights, Milford Sound, Abel Tasman and Gisborne) over the coming weeks.
Hopefully they’ll inspire you to get out and explore New Zealand’s Coastal Gems for yourself.
